Our innovative LIBCAST project is a library podcast series that explores various aspects of the collection, such as rare books, artifacts, and artworks, as well as the history and cultural significance of the University of Kelaniya and Vidyalankara Privena. Each episode features interviews with experts, scholars, and other stakeholders, who provide insider insights into the collection and share their perspectives on the relevance and importance of the cultural heritage of Sri Lanka and the region.

We celebrate various special days throughout the year, such as International Museum Day, National Heritage Week, and World Tourism Day, by organizing special events, exhibitions, and activities. These celebrations are designed to raise awareness, promote engagement, and foster appreciation of the rich and diverse cultural heritage of Sri Lanka and the region, as well as highlight the role and importance of cultural institutions such as museums and galleries in preserving and promoting cultural heritage.

Our Insider Insights program provides behind-the-scenes access to the collection and the people who make it possible. Visitors can meet with curators, librarians, and other staff members, who can provide exclusive insights into the collection, as well as answer questions and provide guidance on research and other inquiries. This program is designed to enhance the visitor experience and provide a deeper understanding and appreciation of the collection, as well as the role and mission of the University of Kelaniya Library Museum and Art Gallery.
