The Educational Exhibition, which was commemorate the 60^th anniversary of the University of Kelaniya, was opened on the 27^th  November 2019 at the University Premises.

Thripitaka Vagishvaracharya, Mahopadhyaya, Pandith, the most Ven. Welamitiyawe Dharmakirthi Sri Kusala Dhamma Thero, - the Chief Prelate of the Colombo and Chilaw regions and the Chancellor of University of Kelaniya declared open the exhibition and Ven. Prof. Kamburugamuwe Vajira Thero, Chancellor of Sabaragamuwa University of Sri Lanka, Ven. Prof. Kollupitiye Mahinda Sangharakhitha, the chief incumbent of Kelaniya temple participated in this event.

Moreover, Prof. D.M. Semasinghe, Vice Chancellor, Senior Prof. Lakshman Senevirathna, Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. C.C. Jayasundara. University Librarian, Deans of Faculties, Directors & Chairmen of Units, Centers & Councils of University, Heads of Departments, academic staff members, Mr. W.M. Karunarathne, Registrar, non academic staff members & undergraduates participated in this event.

The exhibition is scheduled to be held on the 27^th, 28^th & 29^th of November, 2019 and the university library staff presented the largest stall with information on the history of the university starting from Vidyalankara pirivena. During the three days of the exhibition, there will be a special series of discussions with alumnus of the university, expertise in different field of disciplines organised by the university library.
