Very old and high-priced books, administrative reports, debates of the parliament and reference materials are included in the rare book collection of the University of Kelaniya. Besides rare religious and literature books are included in this. This collection is located in the library museum (the ground floor of the new library wine (D1 101)) to be opened time ahead. Some books are related to the period of the early 18 century. This aesthetic property of the University of Kelaniya is only for reference purposes and most of the researchers and archaeologists come to refer to the books for their researches.
