As per the suggestion and guidance of the librarian, Information Literacy Training Programme (LPTS) part -1 conducted by the Interactive Media Unit was successfully conducted for 29 library staff members and their performances were evaluated through an online examination held on 08th April 2021. The termination of the training programme was marked by an award ceremony distributing certificates for them on 09th April 2021 at 9.00 am onwards at the library auditorium. This ceremony was graced by the presence of the librarian Dr. C.C. Jayasundara, Assistant librarians Dr. Achala Ranaweera, Mrs. Sajeewani Rubasinghe, Miss. Subhani Priyanga, Mr. Dhammika Rathnayaka, Senior Assistant Registrar, K.D. Jayanayake Assistant Lecturer Miss. Thrishala Warnasooriya and all library staff. System and media support by Mr. Gayan Pitigala and Mr. Sameera Kaththanayaka is highly appreciated in this occasion.
